Earlier this year the government of Canada has introduced new immigration pathways to encourage people around the world to apply for Canadian immigration.
The newly introduced programs immediately become a success and get thousands of applications within days and weeks.
These new PR pathway programs are creating a bridge between Canada’s economic recovery and the country’s overall development.
The maximum limit has already been reached (30,000) within a short span of 2months for one of the programs specified as Canada’s new immigration stream for English-speaking essential workers in non-healthcare-related.
Originally the closing date for the program was assigned as the first week of November on the 5th.
Due to it’s great response it become the second most rapidly filled stream for temporary residence to permanent residence (TR to PR) pathways after international graduates stream
The most favorable announcement comes for the healthcare stream. The stream is still accepting applications. Earlier the stream had 20,000 spots allotted. Out of these spots only 2,600 spots are filled (as of July 16 2021). Which means there are still 17,400 spots available to healthcare workers.
The French-speaking essential workers in non-healthcare positions are relishing the perk with the availability of an unlimited number of seats. It’s one of the most applied streams too.
The allotments for the other streams were establish in such ways as follow:
- Stream A for health care workers (20,000 spots)
- Stream B for essential non-health care workers (30,000 spots Filled)
- The International graduates (40,000 filled)
- Stream A for French-speaking health care workers (unlimited seats available)
- Stream B for French-speaking essential non-health care workers (unlimited seats available)
- French-speaking international graduates (unlimited seats available)
The main mission behind these limited-time streams by immigration Authority of Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is to provide more immigration pathways to essential workers as well as international graduates living in Canada during the pandemic situation.
IRCC intends to add 90,000 potential candidates as Canada’s permanent residence with the help of these new streams.
